Hi! I was buying a book on a well known webshop. I used my Android Galaxy A25 and Firefox browser. When I was almost ready after IDentification on the payment webservice, also well known, I got a message that I was expected to choose a certificate. There were two to choose from: gak_ec_alias and gak_rsa_alias. How can I know that this is a serious safe action for me to do? I know certificates are used for encryption of communication or transactions, but this is the first time I've been asked to choose one! How shall I treat this? Is the web shop missing a certificate, or Is firefox missing a certificate? Is the certificate going to be used everywhere I surf, or just on the webshop where I bought the book, or on the payment webservice?

Greatful for answers! Janne

No password autofill on Firefox for Android (Samsung Galaxy S23)

Hi, I have Firefox for Android running on my Samsung Galaxy S23 and the windows version on my PC. Both are logged in to the same Firefox account and are syncing fine. On my PC, the password manager is working as expected and autofilling website passwords.

However, on my phone, I can't seem to get the autofill to work. I have been needing to go into the password manager and copy the password every time. It will ask to save the password and the password manager has everything stored as expected. Tried various things like logging in and logging out but nothing has fixed it. I did notice that Samsung Pass often pops up during the website login process and was wondering if this could be the reason Firefox password manager is not working for autofill.

Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I can't access reddit.com on Firefox for Android. I have no problems accessing it on Firefox for PC or Mac. It was loading fine this mornig, but for the past couple hours, I've been getting "address not found." I have cleared my cache and all browsing data. I tried force stopping and restarting the app. I've tried restarting my phone. Nothing fixes the issue. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Scrolling on my Facebook news feed will work fine for a short period, but as I move down my feed, the page will jump up or down, often in the opposite direction I'm scrolling the page. This even happens when I'm not actively touching the screen, but most often while scrolling. This makes it very difficult to read posts or interact with the page. Is this an issue with Meta or is there a setting I can change that will make scrolling smoother? This is a long running problem with Facebook and Firefox and I don't see the same behavior with other browsers like Vivaldi.

Hello Mozilla Support,

I am using Firefox on Android 6.0.1 (OPPO A57). I enabled the “external download manager” option in Firefox settings because I want to use 1DM (One Download Manager) to handle all file downloads.

However, when I tap on a download link in Firefox, it still uses the built-in downloader and does not give me the option to open 1DM or any external app.

Is there a way to force Firefox to launch 1DM (or any external download manager) when clicking on download links? Please guide me. If not possible, is there a version or workaround that supports this on Android 6?

Thank you!

How do you stop auto refresh while on Facebook website? I'm using Firefox for Android and I access my SocMed accounts via websites no resource giving app. With that said I guess FB has page refresh enforced into the it's HTML and it's very annoying. I've set my PC browser to block auto refresh but can't find a solution for Android.

70% of the time I try downloading something it goes one of three ways, either it completes the download and somehow the file isn't downloaded or shows in my recents. The second way is that it stops mid download and deletes the file. Or the third way which downloads part of the file (or most of it) and just stops the download, keeping the part file and I have to re-download it from the beginning. I waste my data constantly because of these issues, especially being as I don't have wifi where I am located, its important I don't waste my data, time, effort, money, and battery life for nothing in return.
