I installed Firefox 128.2.0esr. I set the next parameters in GPO for settings DNSOverHTTPS: "DNSOverHTTPS": {

                      "Enabled":  true,

"ProviderURL": "https://safe.dot.dns.yandex.net/dns-query", "Locked": true, "Fallback": true }.

But when checking via https://www.cloudflare.com/ru-ru/ssl/encrypted-sni/#results I get (screenshot in attachment). As you can see from the screenshot, DNS and SNI did not receive the coveted check marks.

Secure DNS We weren’t able to detect whether you were using a DNS resolver over secure transport. Contact your DNS provider or try using 1.1.1.1 for fast & secure DNS. DNSSEC Attackers cannot trick you into visiting a fake website by manipulating DNS responses for domains that are outside their control. TLS 1.3 Nobody snooping on the wire can see the certificate of the website you made a TLS connection to. Secure SNI Anybody listening on the wire can see the exact website you made a TLS connection to.

In 128.2.0esr there is no protection against ESNI interceptions and ECH is enabled by default? Or is the problem that the DNS provider does not support the technology from Mozilla? Or what other settings we need use (via GPO)?

I just noticed after an update today that the Mobile menu entry (with bookmarks from my mobile Firefox instances) no longer appears in the browser's Bookmarks menu. I can access them from the bookmark manager, but this change seems extraordinarily stupid and arbitrary and is a definite step backwards.

I've noticed that after a few months Firefox ESR will go from being one specific version to two different version tracks. Eventually the older track is removed and the newer one is continued until it then splits. Can someone tell me why this happens and is there an easy way to swap over to the current track? I've included an attachment of what i'm talking about.

I have a new desktop. I checked the box in Settings to "Always ask you where to save files." However, it's still dumping files in Downloads without asking.

Why, and how do we correct that?

i am not a computer knowledgeable person, as I am 84 years old, and do not understand or know how to make the changes that are constantly being made. Please help me make sure everything is set up correctly for the current rules and that the computer is secure, as I discuss monetary issues with many of my clients. When directions are offered, I often find it impossible to follow them, as whatever they tell me does not show up, or is not found on my screen. I have a relatively new computer, maybe a year old, so i am sure the problem is with me, and not the computer.

On my computer Firefox ask for the master password every time at startup. On other computers in my family, Firefox only ask for the Master Password when accessing a site with a password. I tried : - to disable than reenable Master Password - start in SafeMode without success. How can I solve my issue ? Thanks in advance for your help

It looks like firefox recently updated with new privacy features (great!) What's not so great is that now it forces me to log into gmail each time I open a new browser window (not great). I have several different accounts that regularly use so this isn't ideal.

I've tried adding both gmail.com and google.com as exceptions under the cookie settings (didn't work). I even went and turned off the "enhanced tracking protection" on every step of the gmail login page and my inbox. Still kicks me out once I open a new browser. Any help to remedy this problem would be great.

Please add features so that the recently visited page during the Firefox shortcut does not apply to the shortcut list. I only want to see a fixed shortcut on the shortcut page Even the pages I recently visited have been added to the shortcut, so I have to remove them daily. It's so inconvenient.

When I scroll down the page on MSN and try to open a link in a new tab the page jumps back to the top. It then opens a link of another article that I never right/left click on. I have my mouse set up to left click to open a new tab. Does not occur on any other sites.

It has been doing this for months now.

How do i keep my work computer browser seperate from my home browser account???

Somehow out of the blue my home firefox account became my work firefox account? All my work shortcuts or bookmarks appeared at my home but i dont want them.

For a few days now whenever a new tab opens, either by clicking a link in search results or by clicking a link in an email, the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page and I have to scroll to the top of the page. I'm just getting started with Windows 11 on a new computer. What happened to cause this?
