I have a VPN on my PC in the USA, but whether it's turned on or not, most websites identify my computer as being in Europe (normally Germany or Austria)... When I go to buy something, the price is in foreign currency... I NEVER have my VPN connected to foreign hubs (always USA), so how do I fix this problem in Firefox?

What do these websites say about your location?

Hi Fred, Sorry for the late response! I have checked all of the websites that you mentioned. They all say that I'm in Secaucus, NJ (I am not in NJ at all!). The mentioned websites are still continuing to show me as being located in European countries. I still have no clue on how to fix this...

Thanks, Shawn

What city/state/country are you in? Who is your ISP? Are you using a proxy?

NC, USA... I currently use Private Internet Access (PIA)

I honestly don't know what a proxy is, so I can't answer that one for ya!

Well that means your VPN/Proxy isn't based in the US so that is why your location is wrong. If the sites you are going requires cookies or trackers to verify your location then your going to have to not use VPN/Proxy to access those sites.

Contact Private Internet Access support and ask about this.
