I'm not sure what update it was but, new system so I had to go into setting and set things how I like. I cant remove options from additional search engines in settings. This used to be a normal feature. It is no longer one. I want to know how to remove them. Not just disable them, it is not the same. It's fine, If I have to manually recompile the browser to get this done. I just don't want them there. On version 155.0a1 on Arch Linux.

Any constructive help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running Windows 11 Pro on a desktop PC. I have used Firefox "Search by Image" many times and I haven't had a problem in the past. A few days ago the search failed for "some" images and now it fails for any and all images that I drag and drop into my browser. Important: It does work for images on the internet. My problem: (1) I drag and drop an image into my browser. (2) I right-click on the image. (3) I select "Search by Image". (4) I select a search engine. Absolutely nothing happens. I've tried with various images and various search engines. Still nothing happens. I don't think I'm doing anything different than I've always done. I haven't changed any settings in Firefox. Any ideas?

perhaps if you just had a few empty boxes so someone could write in the name of the search engine and firefox would know the complex URL's connected to the name of the search engine.............

After today's Firefox update (7/30/26), I can't activate DuckDuckGo search. When I type a search in the URL bar, if i select a bookmarked URL, it will launch the bookmarked URL. However, if I select a search query (ex. "sonicare toothbrush" in attached pic #1), it won't allow me to press enter to launch a search.

Under Settings, when I click on "Activate" DuckDuckGo search (attached pic #2), nothing happens.

I tried to use Firefox as my search engine but that didn't work so I re-downloaded DuckDuck, but the address bar say "search with google". I use to have DuckDuck but deleted it because I got tired of sites wanting to know my location. How do I get rid of that. I've tried all options in the settings file. I would prefer

I added two new email accounts to my Thunderbird installation (140.12.1esr (64-bit) under Windows 10), and am able to receive and send mail just fine. But the T-bird Search utility doesn't work for those accounts. I can do a Search for an email address, subject, etc. that's showing on my screen for those accounts, but the Search utility comes up empty. Search does work for three other accounts, however. Any ideas?

I'm using thunderbird android with a Gmail account. Using search only yields results from the past weeks. Triggering a server side search yields nothing. If I execute the same search on Gmail I get many results. Is it a config issue or a bug?

Hello! I appreciate many niceties of the 148 update, but i'm having an issue resulting in many more tabs on Android mobile than I usually generate. When I search something and then want to sesrch the same query again using a different search engine (by selecting a different search engine from the tab bar menu) a new tab opens, leaving the query via the previous search engine open, and the current query of the current search engine in a new tab with focus. I'm aware that this behavior can be modified on desktop, but there is no such setting for android.

I would really love for this behavior to be reverted or optional, as it's made it so I need to clear out many tabs of duplicate queries (on different sesrch engines) and it makes me avoid using the built-in search engine switcher to prevent generating more tabs :( (which sucks because I have like 10+ custom searches and they're very useful!)
