Title says it all, "auto resize pictures using CTRL - + does not work". Generally speaking, the size of pictures simply WILL NOT reduce in size to view its entirety. Even when the scroll-bars are used the picture is still to wide. I have searched and asked for any setting in about_config, NOTHING! I truly expected something. The ONLY STUPID WAY to view said oversize picture is Download it then view. Isn't that a HACKERS DREAM??? YES I HAVE tried looking in SETTINGS and searched for months, found nothing that actually works. So now I have to use that 4-LETTER word... HELP!

I'm writing a home-grown email client (Python email module, yay!), and I've received an email with a couple of images with Content-ID: fields. Sure enough, the HTML bears corresponding URLS with cid: schema. I'm unable to see some pictures in Mastodon and I don't know why.

At first I assumed it was a filter blocking "sensitive images," but I turned that off.

Then I turned off the "Show colorful gradients for hidden media" setting, and I just get black images instead.

Images have not been displaying properly. Or when they display properly, the images may go blank when scrolling past them or hovering the cursor over them. This is specifically troublesome with buttons to click on to confirm "yes" or "no", "next" or "start" where the text within those buttons is not visible. I've included a screen shot showing how some of the images appear on screen. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

Open https://wallpaperaccess.com/full/2416436.jpg Zoom in and look very carefully and there are extra lines displayed which are not in the source image. See zoomed area on the attached image. This seems to happen on large images so presumably the image handling hassle new bug... Thanks, David

Everything image related just doesn’t seem to be loading anymore on iOS Firefox and I don’t know why, it’s worked perfectly fine in the past but one day this just happened. Does anyone know what’s going on/ how to fix this? (Also images that are on websites also don’t work)

I would like to control the animation speed of .GIF (ie on Wikipedia). I would like to stop, manual single step or play frames one per duration (ie 1 frame every 2 sec or 1 frame every .5 sec). I would also like to control whether it repeats. I would like to freeze at any point then resume playing given the above settings.

How do I do this?

PS: There may be other types of animation files which the above control could apply to as well.

WELL BEFORE BROWSING AND SAY LOOKING AT IMAGES OF SAY THE BEATLES. I WANT TO SEE ONE PHOTO SO I LEFT CLICK. ALL IT DOES IS GO BACK TO ORIGINAL SCREEN. WHEREAS FOR YEARS THE PHOTO WOULD POP UP. THAT'S MY ISSUE?

I Admin from Community marvin-und-lisa.de Several users have complained that they can no longer play certain games in my community, because the images can no longer be loaded; instead of the image itself, the HTTPS address of the image appears.

On any website i've tried (this site, artfight, bsky) using a cropping tool that the website provides for image uploads causes the image to corrupt and become blank. My profile image at the moment is an example of this, i tried to upload a picture and it got replaced by a blank black image because it required cropping

While on my bank account, I have always been able to click on see image of check. And a copy of the cashed check would be able to bee seen. For whatever reason I can no longer see a check image. Box opens, no image.

Just this morning weather radar animations on weather.com and accuweather are blank. How can I get them to work again?

So I use a translation website for translating images, and I noticed that dragging and dropping images onto the translator ends with them all being titled "Image" and saved, then, as "Image (1)" "Image (2)" etc, or just not dropping. I use this on a daily basis and don't have time to rename every single file. Please help!

I've had this problem with viewing expanded jpg's that up until now, I've been trying to get along with. On the website, milesplit.com, there's an option at the bottom of every picture, it gives the option saying to click here to view a larger version. After I click it, I get a small box saying "You have chosen to open..." and then a big string of letters and numbers for the file name. It continues "which is: application/octet-stream file (156 KB) from: d193frjqb908ar.cloudfront.net" And then asks what Firefox should do with it, either open or save it. From there, I always select Open with and click on Browse. The next screen is long and narrow and at the top it says to Choose Helper App. Then, it gives the application/octet-stream name, which happens to be the same no matter what picture you're looking at, and then it says Send this item to and gives (in my case) 6 apps to readily click on, with Firefox being at the top. As I always want Firefox to open it, I just click OK and then click OK again in the smaller box. And finally, the larger version of the picture is displayed in another tab. Now, I've been using this site on and off for at least 15 years and before a few years ago, I had no problems. So, is this a fixable problem, or do I have to keep on doing what I have been doing?

Since the latest update, when I click on a link to an image containing a JPG (JPEG) file, now Firefox opens a new tab but it's empty, and it automatically downloads the JPG file, saving it in Downloads. To see the image, I have to go to Downloads and choose to open the file. I hate this. How does software get dumber like this? Someone messed up. It's not just some sites, it's all the time, so Firefox changed.

Is there a quick fix for this in Settings? I've been looking to no avail.

I am using Firefox on mobile and I want to download images in the highest possible quality from different websites.

Sometimes the images look compressed or low resolution after saving.

Is there any built-in option or setting in Firefox mobile to always download original image quality? Or any recommended method to ensure full-resolution downloads?
