Hi 🙂 This is a follow-up to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1511440.

The problem is this: support.mozilla.org is a site intended for asking support questions, and it is very inconvenient not to be able to use extensions that assist with typing (notably Unicodify and Clippings).

i have 2 suggestions to do:

1) Let the user choose whether to keep extensions enabled (in which case support.mozilla.org is not privileged, the user cannot send "Troubleshooting Information", and there is no security vulnerability), or to send "Troubleshooting Information" (in which case extensions are disabled).

2) Review the design of support.mozilla.org in a way that a subdomain like ffinfos.support.mozilla.org is privileged instead of support.mozilla.org, Firefox sends "Troubleshooting Information" to ffinfos.support.mozilla.org, and extensions are enabled on support.mozilla.org but can never interact with data that Firefox would send to ffinfos.support.mozilla.org.

What do you think about this?

when i use Chrome or edge to access yahoo email I can write & edit. when using Firefox browser; I cannot write & edit/highlight/change text colours etc before sending. tried deleteing & re-installing Firefox . please help. Driving me crazy rsvp

I can't download some pdfs, notably my bank statements. I CAN download some pdfs. Eg, I can download my car manual (although it's a process of downloading it to my Google Drive). However, trying to download my bank statements, Firefox gives me no options at all, and, indeed, I get an error message. Yet I CAN download my bank statements using Google Chrome! I've carefully checked all my Firefox settings, but nothing seems to address this problem. I've spoken to my bank, and they don't know why I can't download them either. When I try to download the statements, I get a screen saying it can't give me a 'Preview' (see attached screenshot), but there's a 'Download button. When I click that I get a white screen with the 'error' message:

"No API key found in request. request_id: d52e0732a3d10a75b1ec58534845c15c"

I have asked about this before on this forum, but to no avail.

Can you help me repair my FireFox Browser? The shortcut did not launch the browser. It stated that the file had moved or was no longer working. It still appears in my App folder but the only option is to uninstall it. I have a great deal of short cut tabs and all my stored passwords. How do I repair this? If I re-download Firefox will it access all of my stored information and preferences?

Pressing print/pdf button for screenshot then pick the folder destination documents then press save and what it's used for is decrease the size of the screenshot with pinching the screen then retake the screenshot of desired smaller size however for the first time it has an error in documents folder the says "can't open pdf" and then I tried the 3 dot menu in upper right corner to use an app to open it up and I went through all of them and nothing works

After your security fix this morning, I discovered that I can't access my earthlink inbox. I keep getting the login page, and when I try to log in, the login page is all I get. I can, however, access my earthlink inbox on Edge. So I wonder if there was something in your security fix that is creating this problem on Firefox. How to fix this?

I have my iMac synced to my phone, but every time I click on Sync another device, it keeps referring me to how to sync to my phone, which is already synced! So frustrating, as it shows me no other options! How are we supposed to sync our Firefox to other devices, beside my phone?

I'll be on a page, maybe Facebook, the NYTimes, Amazon, or really any site, and suddenly I find I can no longer scroll, or otherwise navigate the page. I usually have to refresh the page, not so great an option, if I was in the middle of doing something, and and then it'll work OK. I shouldn't have to be doing that, and wonder why pages will just freeze up like this.

After updating Firefox to the latest version, my bookmarks are no longer syncing across devices. I have Firefox installed on Windows 11 and Linux, and the sync was working fine before the update. I have tried signing out and back in to my Mozilla account but the issue persists. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox says that it blocked known fingerprint trackers from two sites that I really do not believe had them.

If I go back to the sites later and check, it says they have no trackers. I don't really understand how this works but if they have trackers wouldn't Firefox have to keep blocking them?

Any search entry gets the following return:

Hi, in this year I have sometimes problems with Google meet on my T480 notebook. I could not define any reason or what could be connected to this behaviour.

Start of the meeting is usually ok, but by time it starts to stutter. Video, audio and other callers stop to understand what I am saying. I have no issue with Chrome. And camera seems to be much better with Chrome. I use ocassionaly MS Teams and when I am in Firefox, it happened too. The main issue is, that it's unpredictable. It's not related to if I share the screen or not, or the others. It can be just simple call with camera off. And it happens sometimes, but often. So I learned by time to join meeting with Chrome. I tried to shut off extensions without positive result.

It is interresting, that it's working like that last several months. I started to use google meet in 2024 and it worked well all the time until this year. Hardware acceleration is on, I think I already tried to shut it off. I use ESET, that's only thing which occurs in my mind, what can be relative to this issue. But only in Firefox? Any advices?

My Firefox sync stopped working after the latest update. Bookmarks are not syncing between my desktop and laptop. I have tried signing out and back in but it still does not work. Any suggestions?

I have encountered a problem recently with on particular forum site.

When I attempt to login I receive an error after pressing the submit button. 

The form displays this error "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

I have been using the site regulary for several years and have never had this problem

The following is what I am using:

    Firefox ver 153.0.1 64 bit
    Windows 10 and/or Windows 10 (yes this is happening on all 3 of my PCs)

The forum site is using phpBB Forum Software. I do not know the version. As stated above they have been using this software for several years.

In trouble shooting this issue I have discovered that if I do the following in the specified order I can login and create and respond to posts and Private Messages. But as soon as I log out I receive the invalid form message until I do the following steps again.

            1) Clear all cookies, temporary cache, site settings, browsing and download history, site settings
               and saved form info.
            2) Shutdown Firefox 
            3) Navigate to my profile with Windows Explorer 
            4) Delete the file cookies.sqlite

I must do this each and every time I access the site.

I am at a loss as to what to do about this. Does Firefox have any error logs or console logs? If so how can I enable them to see if I can get a better idea of what is happening?

Hi, I'm having trouble accessing only certain sites via Firefox. I have already cleared my cache/cookies, etc. Firefox is up to date. Proxy settings are set to "Use system proxy settings."

Following links from other sites sometimes (but not always) works, but typing in a URL or search term to the address bar results in an "Unable to connect" notice.

Examples of sites: Working: google.com instagram.com mozilla.org (main site works fine, support.mozilla.org loads only as an unformatted list of links) netflix.com

Not working: usps.com goodreads.com storygraph.com firefox.com duckduckgo.com oregonwalks.org ucla.edu

Whenever I sign in to my VA account, I check the box to "Remember this browser" (as attached), but it never works. VA IT told me it was an issue with the browser (i.e., Firefox). This might have just been their way of making me go away quietly. (Blowing me off!) But I thought I'd check with you anyway. Can you help? Thanks
