Using Firefox View, I am unable to view my tabs from other devices after setting up Sync. It is saying Check your internet connection. If you’re using a firewall or proxy, check that Firefox has permission to access the web. as if I don't have a correctly configured connection. However I indeed do and am able to browse the web without any issues. I should mention that I'm running the latest stable flatpak and I'm wondering if this could be related but I have no idea how to manipulate the flatpak to make this work.

My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.

There is a problem logging into Disqus. (disqus.com and disquscdn.com)

When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.

Firefox stopped working with my VPN on when I updated my OS to Sonoma, yesterday. I use PIA for my VPN.

I have done the following, so far, restarting my system several times between trying these things:

Checked that internet connection and modem are fine. All pages load in Safari, with VPN running, but I prefer Firefox.

Checked the Network settings for my Mac. Ensured that No Proxy was selected.

Cleared my Firefox cookies, cache and history.

Tried running in troubleshooting mode, turning off all extensions.

Tried turning off Advanced Tracking Protection, which I usually run on Custom.

Refreshed Firefox.

Finally, I turned off my VPN and, viola, all sites work. Turned it back on, and can’t navigate, again. For instance, I tried to open YouTube, and got a blank screen. Turned off VPN, and got to main YouTube page. Turned the VPN on and tried to log in…nope. Turned it off and logged in. Turned it back on and tried to open a video….nope. Turned it off and opened the video…etc., etc..

I very much wish to continue using both Firefox and my VPN. Can you suggest a course of action? Thank you for any advice you can give!!

On a couple of websites, but in particular Rogers.com, the captcha just never ends. It asks to click on all the bicycles, I click on them one at a time until no more appear, hit verify, it brings up something else. It will do this dozens of times and just never ever end.

Switch over to Edge, does the same. Switched to chrome and it works fine. Has google done something to captcha to deny it working on other browsers?

I have checked to see firefox is up to date and it is. I have disabled all extensions/addons. I have run malware/virus scans. On the Rogers community forums there are all kinds of people having problems but there are no solutions on how to fix. Oddly (or not) the problems are similar...captcha won't work on Edge, Firefox but will work on Chrome.

Since about one year I am unable to use Japanese input only in Firefox. When I try to switch with fcitx and control+space, nothing happens. However, fcitx-mocz works everywhere else on my computer (i.e. terminal, thunderbird, other browsers, etc.). Furthermore, I uninstalled fcitx and everything associated with it and reinstalled it according to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1367181 (just with mocz for Japanese). This also didn't change anything. Any help is appreciated! I view a lot of pdf documents via firefox, the light gray background makes my eyes and head hurt after prolonged usage. In the past I found a solution on this forum that advised to set pdfjs.viewerCssTheme to "2" in about:config. This set the background of pdf viewer to black/dark gray. This has worked for years until recently when the pdf viewer switched to light mode again (pic 1). I checked the about:config settings for pdfjs.viewerCssTheme but there appears to be no change. I tried restarting the browser, setting the theme to 0 and to 2 again, updating browser. Sadly the theme is still light gray. Is there a way to change it again? The desired outcome is in pic 2. I do NOT want to change the color of the pdf pages themselves.

I've always liked the Firefox New Tab page, with Pocket, and until today, DarkReader plugin has always worked. But now it says that it can't because the page is protected.

I tried the solution to use bookmarklets, suggested in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1350781, but it didn't have any effect (https://sanketmehta7.github.io/DarkMode-JS-BookMark/

If I can't find a solution, I'll just ditch Pocket, and use Google as my first page, or something. Or maybe ditch Firefox, which doesn't seem to think that dark mode is important. I don't like being blinded by the light.

Firefox won't play YouTube videos. I've tried everything. There seem to be plenty of problems on the forum BUT NO SOLUTIONS!

As long as I have an incognito window open, Firefox will reopen old tabs everytime I open a new "regular" window, even if "Open previous windows and tabs" is unchecked.

Why can't you pin the extension 'Tiny URL' to the toolbar any more?

This extension is really useful! I don't want to have to excavate Firefox to use it.

Tiny URL is more useful than the rather silly 'Pocket' which just seems to be a page full of adverts

My Get Messages is grayed out, how do I fix? Not downloading messages I searched the answers for this and tried what was suggested and now the Mail Toolbar is completely gone, the suggestion was to Restore Default setting and I did and now my Toolbar is completely gone

Firefox for Linux has a bug where it is unable to drag a tab from a non-active window. As in, if the window focus is on Firefox window A and I try to drag a tab from Firefox window B to window A, I have to click first the window. I can't just intuitively drag the tab from a non-active window, because it will get ignored. It will just activate the window, ignoring the drag.

Firefox for Linux, running on Nobara KDE latest desktop. Confirmed also on KDE Neon latest desktop.
