As much as I have seen, Mozilla Firefox uses X-Moz: prefetch to notify webbrowsers about pre-fetching activity.

Are there other headers from older FF versions? How would the pre-fetching behave if the Cache-Control header would not want the browser to cache?

Hi I would assume that it would follow the cache control setting when the page is requested if the server sent back that header. Resources I found: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Link_prefetching_FAQ http://www.edochan.com/programming/pf.htm
