I can connect on the Firefox Sync webpage, I have my Recovery key too but I can't connect or update the Recovery key inside Firefox!

Hi, the hard drive of my Macbook just crashed and I sadly didn't save my bookmarks before it happen.

I was using Firefox Sync since months though so I hope it's not lost.

So after a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.6.8 and a fresh install of Firefox, I tried to launch Firefox Sync, I entered my username, my password and my Recovery key and at this moment Firefox says that "the key is wrong", I then tried to update the key but after entering my key when i click on updating the key, nothing happen.

Then I tried to connect on the Firefox Sync webpage and it works... but that doesn't help me at all!

Can someone give me a hand with that?

Note that you shouldn't try to update the Sync (i.e. generate a new Sync key) as that will remove all data stored on the Sync server.

Are you sure that you have the correct 26-character Sync key for that account (account name is email address)?

You can try to enter the sync key without the '-' separators as one lowercase 26-character string.

Can you connect to your sync account?

I just realized that I updated the Sync so everything is lost...
