An "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop is created when you reset Firefox.

You should be able to copy selected data from this folder to the current Firefox profile folder.

For the bookmarks you would need to places.sqlite file or possibly restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Hey leer49, See Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile article for more info, if you still need any help, let us know!

cheers

that didn't help, I guess what I want to do is restore all my add-on and buttons with out loading them one at a time, it kind of looks like that is what I'm going to have to do though.

"I have an "old firefox data" file."

What's in that file? Or is it a folder?

Similar problem-I've just got a new PC (WIN7), and the only Firefox File that seems to have transferred is the old Firefox data file I had on my desktop. If possible I want to use this to retort my bookmarks-any help welcome!
