Closed Firefox. When restarted all history, bookmarks gone and backup button does not work. Help

I closed Firefox. When I restarted it, it did not ask me to restore session and all the history and bookmarks were gone. The backup arrow button does not work. When I went to the options to reload the backup it gave me a list of 5 backup date. When I tried to restore any of the, the message the the backup file could not be used. Help

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Newer versions of firefox aren’t as stable as the older ones (unfortunately). Fox has let me down soooobad…. My solution: uninstall (removing EVERYTHING), reinstall, restore from backup***. Anything else didn’t work :(, cost me 3h :(

      • No backup? well, lesson learned, next time you will remember to make one.
