This 1st coincided with a mozilla firefox update I tried installing older versions and the latest version, but it still happens.

Works fine for me on Fx6. Are you having problems with any other sites?
Try clearing your cache and any relevant cookies.

Maybe, I have just cleared the cache & cookies, then I opened the site to test it, I went on approx 9 of the headlines, and it worked ok, but will have to wait and see what happens when I'm browsing and reading more of the articles. Anyway thanks a lot for you suggestion.
