Can't just push the Enter button to just search in URL bar. Why?

With the various version 3s of Firefox all I had to do was type in an a search in the URL bar and press Enter to begin a search, or type a url in and press enter and BAM I'm at the site. Now I have to go and click the arrow button to go to what I type.
