firefox will not load ebay after sign in get error code"Http/1.1 Service Unavailable"

After attempting to sign in on the e-bay site I get the following error "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable" with a blank white page. If I then re-click the e-bay shortcut e-bay loads and runs normally in a new tab. Running Win 7, 64 bit.
