how to enable hardware acceleration

Hardware acceleration is on by default, I believe. However, you could try to enable it by going to the top bar's three dots at the top right -> settings -> General -> Performance (scroll) -> UNTICK use recommended performance settings, and check if it has hardware acceleration on. If not, you may tick it on. Also, I'm pretty sure MBps is not to do with hardware acceleration and is moreso to do with WI-FI, which I wouldn't know how to solve for you. I'm just answering the question on how to enable/disable hardware acceleration.
