favourites
cleaning up my computer, I accidentally deleted firefox. I had a list of favourite links, and I lost them. Is there any way of recovering my list of favourites?

Hi Glen,
If you used Sync, it should be enough just to log in to your Mozilla account.
If you didn't use Sync, there's another option. Unless you manually deleted your data, it should be preserved in your Firefox profile. Please check your profile list both in the new profile management system (in Firefox menu -> Profiles) and in the legacy Profile Manager (about:profiles). Does any of the profiles contain your data?

I don't use sync because I don't want any connection between my desktop computer and anything else. But the "profile" idea worked. It wasn't exactly what my old profile had for my favourites, but it was about 90% identical, which was good enough. I've since been able to recover almost all the missing items. Thanks for the help - honestly, I'm surprized that "help" actually worked.
