How to set tasks to appear in a calendar?
There is an old question just like this here and the answer doesn't work for me.
I would like to see my tasks appear on my calendar ie a task due on the 26th should show up alongside any appointments I have in that date slot. Google Calendar does this.
The answer to the question linked to above says to use View - Calendar - Current View - Tasks in view
I have those options and I tried them. Nothing. I have a task with a date and time on it and I am looking in the calendar for the right date and I don't see it. Is this feature still working? Is there something else I need to do to turn it on?
Thanks

is this a network calendar with google perhaps? and you are not using the provider for google calendar add-on which is required for tasks from Google? https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/provider-for-google-calendar/
Thanks for the reply, Matt.
I'm using a local calendar and creating local tasks, so there's no external calendars involved with my initial tests. I also have a calendar from my baikal server which behaves the same.
So creating tasks in local and they do not show on my local calendar, creating tasks in baikal and they do not show on my baikal calendar. So it is consistent but not what I had hoped to see. The tasks do show up on the side panel but I was hoping to see them in the calendar.
