Thunderbird new release SOLVED by using MS repair program on the system files
I recent got the new thunderbird update. However i also loss all my saved messages and local folders and my contact email addresses. I really need that information for some IRS imformation. Plus u also get nothong but a bid Donate now message in the body of thunderbird. I have already donated several times. I need my information now. I am quite upset about this loss is data and email addresses.

You may be upset but donations are no insurance for being protected against errors, bugs or crashes. Actually when you launch Thunderbird what happens? Do you see the main Thunderbird window with a prompt to "Set up your existing email address" (see my image)
