I believe that OP was asking why extensions for desktop Firefox could not be installed on Firefox for iOS/iPadOS (iPhone/iPad). Extensions made for desktop Firefox and Android Firefox will not install in Firefox on iOS/iPadOS as Firefox is basically a shell for WebKit due to Apple's restrictions on browser engine being used.

However Mozilla could look to using their own browser engine on iOS/iPadOS in the EU/UK markets now and that could perhaps allow using extensions like the ones made for Android Firefox.
