Hi Elgar,

Don’t worry — this isn’t Windows trying to force you off Windows 10, and it’s something we can try to fix in Firefox.

It sounds like your Windows taskbar (the bar at the bottom) might be set to “auto-hide” or is being covered by Firefox in full-screen mode. Here are a few things to check:

1. Exit full-screen mode in Firefox

Press the F11 key on your keyboard once.

If the bottom bar comes back, you were in full-screen mode. You can press F11 again to switch back.

2. Check Windows taskbar settings

Right-click an empty space on your taskbar (if you can see it).

Choose Taskbar settings.

Make sure Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode is turned Off.

3. Restart Firefox and/or your computer Sometimes, a quick restart clears up display glitches.

If the problem still happens only when Firefox is open, it could be an add-on or zoom setting. In that case, let me know, and I can walk you through checking those.

You’re not alone in this — we’ll get that bottom bar back!
