Do you also have empty subject and sender fields?

Do you have blank headers (subject, from, date) with each email? When you say it is showing as code do you mean the body of the message rather than the headers or are the headers intact as normal?

some headers are filled some are blank, all bodies of email are code

heres a part of your email...this shows the header...others are blanl

could bitdefender be doing this?

I also run Bitdefender, but tried with protection disabled. It did'nt change anything. Problem started today 08/11/25

Yes same, but only with pop configured accounts. Imap accounts have not the issue. It apparemment today. I guess it's an update issue.

Same problem here, also started today  :((((

As information, I run two Win 10 Pro PCs with Bitdefender Total Security. Mozilla T-bird packages on both machines are encountering this problem in the last day or so. I have disabled Bidfender too, to no avail. Interestingly, email sent from a local newspaper is received normally (body and subject heading in tact), but by and large email sent from Mozilla T-bird, Yahoo webmail, and MS Outlook arrive full of code without subject headings.

Don't know where. As I mentioned on similar threads, this issue seems to concern pop servers, not imap. If that help to debug.

I found this possible remedy in the T-bird forums (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1479331). The second item from "reddit" worked for me. I did not try the exclusions suggestion:

Add the TB profile folder as an exclusion in BD settings, as BD is a likely reason for the problem (it's bypassed in Windows safe mode).
