Since update to Firefox version 138.0.1, my last viewed side bar is never automatically displayed upon REOPENING Firefox. I must always > View > Re-select the desired sidebar choice >

How can I get this side bar to re-display automatically upon opening Firefox as it used to in previous versions?

Hi

This is something that we are aware of and are looking into. In the meantime, you may wish to:

  1. Shut down Firefox completely
  2. Find your profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data will help)
  3. Rename xulstore.json in your profile directory (e.g. to “xulstore.json.old”)
  4. Restart Firefox

From now on bookmarks should stay open if it was open when you quit/restart your browser.

Hi Rich! So sorry to hear about the trouble. It sounds like you might be experiencing the same missing bookmarks sidebar issue as described here.

This issue will be resolved in the release of Firefox Version 139 -- this update will be available on May 27th. I hope this helps!
