firefox bookmarks disappeared

My macbook pro did an auto update of my firefox browser to version 136.0.2 (aarch64), and now all of my latest bookmarks are not present. What shows up now is some older version of my bookmarks. How do I recover what I've had most recently, significantly more bookmarks and folders than what is showing?


/edit: moved thread from Firefox for iOS (iPhone/iPad) to Firefox section as you have macOS.
