SOME EMAILS GO TO LOCAL FOLDERS/INBOX INSTEAD OF MY "EMAIL ADDRESS"/INBOX
I RECENTLY DISCOVERED (BY ACCIDENT) EMAILS THAT WERE SENT TO ME (AND I TOLD THE SENDER WERE NEVER REC'D) WERE SITTING IN MY LOCAL FOLDERS/INBOX. I CANNOT HAVE MY REC'D EMAILS GOING THERE. IS THERE A SETTING TO MAKE ALL INCOMING EMAILS GO ONLY' TO MY "EMAIL ADDRESS"/INBOX?

I use message filters for sending spam emails to trash.
Do you use Pop accounts ?
Did you by any chance set them up as 'Deferred' account using a Global Inbox ?
I have come across people who have incorrectly set up a Pop account. They set it up to use 'Local Folders' not understanding what this would do, but did not follow correct process and it also generated a Pop account folder, so causing much confusion because they could see pop account but emails were going to Local Folders.
Please check this:
- In Account Settings
- Select 'Server Settings' for the pop mail account.
- On the right click on the 'Advanced..' button
- If you want the POP account to display in Folder Pane and use it's own set of folders:
- Select 'Inbox for this account'
- click on 'OK'
Then Exit Thunderbird Wait a few moments for background processes to complete. Start Thunderbird
Did you discover it has selected 'Inbox for a different account - Global Inbox (Local Folders)' ?
