Error messages
I keep getting error messages in a pop-up at the bottom left of the Firefox window that says that the internet connection is "lost" and a few seconds later another pop up appears that says the connection is "restored." Firefox is unresponsive during the interval but the Windows 10 OS does not indicate any change in my internet connection during this period. What is going on?

First, have your ISP check your service.
Second, turn off your modem, wifi, anything between the computer and the net. Wait about 10 seconds. then turn them back on.
Also, reboot your system.
What kind of internet connection do you use ? Is this a direct hardware connection (network card) or do you use a USB connection or wireless (WiFi) connection ?
It's an ethernet connection.
BTW, this pop-up appears intermittently only when I am in a tab with Facebook opened.
I get something similar on Facebook occasionally, a message saying chat is 'unavailable'.
