I'm a very new user of Mozilla VPN, and so far I've liked it a lot. The Windows 10 apps on my laptop and desktop have been working great, but recently the Android app has been giving me some trouble.

Before the most recent Play Store update to the app, Mozilla VPN would stay connected in the background since I had the "Always On" setting enabled. After the most recent update, the VPN disconnects as soon as I close the app, regardless if "Always On" is enabled or disabled. I'm not sure if the update is the root cause, but that's the only change that's been made since I've started using the service. This happens on any network (home, work office, mobile data).

I've tried basic troubleshooting steps: Restarting my phone, "Forgetting" the VPN and re-adding, and re-installing the Mozilla VPN app with no change in result. As of now, I cannot use Mozilla VPN on my phone without having the app fully open and running in the background.

Please let me know if I can provide more detail. I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you.

Hello,

Currently we do not have a workaround for this. This has been going on since the last update. Our development team is currently investigating to determine if this is to be expected or a potential bug. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
