Where is the speed dial on a new tab in Firefox 60?

Firefox upgraded to the new version and the new tab page is now blank. There is no cogwheel either to change settings.

Go to about:config and check if there browser.newtabpage.enabled = true.

It worked; but why is this disabled by default in the new version? I did not change it, so I'm concluding that it was changed when Firefox updated.

hi, it's not disabled by default - perhaps you or one of your extensions has set that in the past?

I beg to differ...

I have (had) the exact same problem (setting `browser.newtabpage.enabled` to `true` did the trick)..

But: This even happened to my completely empty testing profile, no changed settings, and no extensions installed, ever..
