I give up. I have been a user of FF since you guys first showed up and offered a viable alternative to idiot explorer, I have tried *EVERY* solution to your excessive memory hogging/leaks that has been posted here and elsewhere. I am tired of trying. Particularly when on facebook, even after leaving FB, FF doesn't give up the memory. Don't even try to blame add-ons or extensions. I've only ever run ones posted on YOUR site. Even when I load a fresh copy with NO add-ons or extensions and all cache, temp files, etc cleaned, it does the same thing. Memory utilization goes through the roof. HDD activity also pegs. I'm currently running 3 add-ons and guess what.. makes no difference. Performance sucks up the same ram and HDD rates. On this particular machine: I'm running WIn10 64, their Antivirus and Firewall, 4gb DDR2-1066 Ram , Intel Core 2 Quad 9450 and dual Radeon HD 7800 Series (2gb GDDR5) Video cards. Other machines see similar memory and HDD utilization issues. Just running FF with no extensions/add-ons it sucks up 1.7gb of memory right off the bat. I open FB and eBay at the same time it jumps to 2.8gb. (nothing else is running at the time BTW). As I surf down through FB memory use continues to climb. If I stay on FB of about 30 minutes it tops out memory and the Hard Drive pegs. Memory climbs to the point my system becomes unusable. You guys have been around long enough, you know whats going on. It's either poor coding from jig-saw puzzle coders or your just very bad at hiding... lets call them "undocumented features". This problem has gotten worse as time and versions continue. I DO NOT have this problem with any non-Mozilla browser. If the problem isn't with FF, explain why that is... I'm waiting. Now you can tell me about how this is everyone else's fault, add-ons and extensions (that come from your site but I'm not using), Windows, Facebook, eBay and all doing things and your browser is fine. It's the internet that's whacked.. right? Not your program that supposed to serve internet content efficiently and effectively. (note sarcasm). If you're about to reply with a solution that been posted anywhere on this site... my preemptive response is "ALREADY TRIED IT".
