Auto Fill Email or Username & Passwords

I have noticed this over the last few versions of FF and now with Quantum. I must always click into a field entry box in order to populate a list of remembered items. This is also the case in the iOS app. Is there no way for this saved information to be automatically filled in?

Firefox built-in form filler is a bit limited.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a form filler.
