Can Thunderbird highlight the account that most recently received email?
I have many accounts, with subfolders and rules moving new email to various of them.
When I get notified of a new email via a sound, I often cannot easily find where the new email is located as many of my accounts show unread emails...
I would like to be able to see the account or subfolder with the most recently downloaded email glowing or highlighted or a special color.. something so I can check brand new emails quickly if I hear the sound notification.
What would be really cool is to have a color coded system where, say, account/subfolder with most recent emai is YELLOW, next most recent is DARKER YELLOW, next is even DARKER... --- or... totally different colors, though that may be ugly. yellow, then green, then blue... ---or... little superscript numbers above and left of the account name, showing 1,2,3, etc... indicating which account has most recent email.
Am I nuts? Hopefully not. Just hate trying to scroll through all accounts/folders to figure out WHERE that NEW EMAIL IS.

I use View|Folders|Unread to quickly find new messages.
You could also set up a Saved Search to collate unread messages, and you could set it to display unthreaded in date order. That would guarantee newest first (or last, depending on your chronological preferences.)
