I just installed Firefox on my Android HTC One M8. When I got to Settings About it says it is version 50.0. Android v6.0 HTC is retiring their browser and I am now forced to choose another. I have exported my bookmarks from HTC browser as an HTML file. Now all I need to do is import those bookmarks into Firefox. However, there is no option to import. According to the web, there used to be a settings > customize > import option, but now the entire customize menu seems to be gone. Why is there no option to import bookmarks?

The import function can retrieve bookmarks from Chrome in Android 5 and earlier. There is no option to import bookmarks from a file.

You could import those bookmarks into desktop Firefox and use Firefox Sync to transfer the data. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer
