Ok, I am really confused here... A week ago I received a notice, that firefox is slow and made a full reset of the firefox profile. I was happy with the result, as I lost some of the terrible virus sites, like mylucky123. I fixed the needed addons, styled firefox to my liking, deleted the backup folder, cleaned up old bookmarks. It took some time, but everything was sweet as chocolate! Like a start of a new life! But just now I was using firefox and it crashed. As I tried to start it up again, all the shortcuts on desktop, task bar..etc. showed the item firefox.exe that this shortcut refers to has been deleted and weren't possible to use. I deleted them and located the firefox.exe file and launched the browser. As a result firefox is back to the old profile!!! The bookmarks I deleted, history I cleared, personalization I set up - it all has been restored to the old version I had a week ago. Even the old tabs I used to have open are back. How did this happen? What did I click? Does this mean, that the old profile wasn't completlly deleted? How can I get the new profile back and completely delete the old profile, so that it doesn't take even a byte of disk space? Thank you for listening to my ranting...

Hi, this might help you, but be careful what - if anything, you delete! Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
