Address bar doesn't work, and not only that...
My firefox updated to the newer version 33.0 and the address bar stopped working. As many said already, you write something or use the drop-down menu and then u press enter and nothing works. That's the first problem. In the mozilla start page, I write something, I press search and nothing happens,it only deletes what I wrote. My search engines have disappeared. When I press right click at specific things that I want to copy/paste,or it will show "save page,select all,view source" , or "play, mute,save audio, etc" ,or the worst of all, a HUGE list with all the things the right button can do wherever you are, and the copy/paste is at the very bottom and it doesn't work when I press it. I pressed "reset firefox" 2-3 times already and did the same with the safe mode. Also disabled hardware acceleration that someone mentioned, and still nothing. Reinstalled it, nothing. Same thing happened with the previous version but at some point it fixed itself, even at some times it was doing the same thing and I had to restart firefox to work. I also have the problem with the flash crashing for half a year now (I think) but at least now it doesn't kill the volume button of my pc. And I have reinstalled it too but still nothing. I feel lucky when the error message doesn't pop up for a day, because all the rest days it will pop up more than 20 times a day.

Firefox 30 switched many plugins from "Always Activate" to "Ask to Activate". The purpose of this change was to require your permission for untrusted sites to use plugins. However, some plugins that affect the user interface and/or operate globally on all pages do not work well with this setting and unpredictable UI breakage can result.
Could you review your plugins as follows:
Open the Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Then I suggest:
- For in-page plugins like Flash, Silverlight, or Java, no changes are needed
- For global plugins like fingerprint readers or security software, switch to either:
- "Always Activate" if you use this plugin on a regular basis
- "Never Activate" if this plugin is not important or very rarely used
This might not take effect immediately in the current window, but should work in new windows, or after you exit and restart Firefox.

For problems with toolbars and menus, it also can be helpful to clear one of Firefox's settings files which sometimes becomes corrupted. The Reset feature does this automatically, but if you aren't ready for the full reset, you can do it by hand. Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- File menu > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename localstore.rdf to something like localstore.old
Start Firefox back up again. Any improvement in the toolbar and right-click menu?
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) (YOU DID THIS ALREADY) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(3) Disable the protected mode feature. It has security benefits, but is not compatible with all systems for some reason. You can disable it by creating or editing a settings file.

Flash needs to completely unload from memory (exiting and starting Firefox up again might help) before this takes effect.

Im not sure about flash right now as it doesnt seem to crash as I did the first thing,but the address bar and right click still dont work as they should....
right-click calls up a context-specific menu, but it appears Firefox is a little confused about the context of whatever you right-clicked. Does it work on special items like links and images or text you are editing? Or does it give you that "kitchen sink" menu for everything?
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.
- it doesnt give the "kitchen sink" menu for everything, it works normally when I copy from the address bar, in here, for example, I tried the right click at various things, and only on the "yes" "no" buttons it doesnt show the kitchen sink menu, but it says "save page etc" and has the buttons for go back a page/refresh and favourite..... -I unistalled firefox, deleted the folder, and reinstalled firefox, but nothing changed. The only thing thats left is the new profile.
New profile doesn't work either
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
