On the Firefox start page, there's usually a big button that says "Restore Previous Session". Click that and your tabs and windows will be restored.

Firefox now automatically saves open tabs when closing. I now in FF6.0.2 have to click History->Restore last session every time I restart my computer in order to get my windows and tabs the way I left them in FF.
