My AOL home page (preferred) is second in the home page order, but "search.imesh" stays as the home page.

There is a service running on startup called DATAMN~1 which is hijacking your homepage.

If you use MSCONFIG(Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and hit enter) you will find under the startup tab a service called DATAMN~1. Untick, restart and you will be able to change your homepage again.
