I am using Windows7

I have disunstalled Firefox 3.6.12 and re-installed it. When one firefox window is open and if i click on File -> New Window No new firefox windows opens!

If I surf on a web site and I point with my mouse a link and click rignt and then select "open in Link in a new window", no new window opens!

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

Thank you: i did not know the safemode.

It is the 2 add-ons of AVG that prevent Firefox to open 2 web windows: "AVG Safe search" 9.0.0.863 add-on "AVG Security Toolbar" 6.010.006.004 add-on

With this new version 3.6.12, I could not open a second window, nor did some (all?) plugins work. I tried to deactivate some of them, and finally found it was relate to plugin Download Statusbar (my version is 0.9.7.2)

All I had to remove was AVG Safe Search...AVG Security Tool Bar is ok.

That add-on screw everything up. Gmail notifier, right click pop ups would come up blank (Can't view properties, etc), tool drop down menu's were blank.

Stupid AVG!
