unable to DISABLE pswd AUTOFILL
I have deselected Save and autofill usernames and passwords in Settings-> Passwords and Autofill, but FF continues to offer saved pswd POPUP on a login page. I use Proton Pass extension and FF is writing over it, making it unusable.

That means it's not recognized (=the form is not exactly coded) as login inputs — doesn't the dropdown actually present with a "clock" icon, signifying it comes from just plaintext form history? (You should be able to select that record with arrow keys, and remove it with Delete or Shift+Delete from all similar form inputs.)
