issues with tabs between phone and the PC
I have both my PC and my phone signed into the same account and they are both synced. When using the option to send tab to my phone from my PC nothing appears on my phone but there's a pop-up on my PC saying it sent the tab or it was it's a check mark or something that suggests that it knows I wanted to send a tab. And then usually when I am trying to go to bed there is a tab that was playing on my PC so I go to bed and I open up my phone, I select the tab in the sync section and I sync the devices and then I attempt to close the tab. About half the time, honestly probably more the tab will not close and stays active on my PC and it is usually a twitch tab so then when I'm trying to sleep I just hear sound coming from my PC, the tab is gone from my phone so I can't even attempt to hit the x on it again so I end up having to get up and exit on my computer. I think also I've tried to send a tab from my phone to my PC, I could have sworn that was a thing and I don't remember that working either.

I’ve seen this happen with Firefox Sync too, especially when tabs are being sent between devices. If the tab appears on one device but doesn’t actually open or close correctly on the other, I’d first check whether Sync is still updating normally rather than assuming it’s only a tab issue.
The fact that it happens more often with tabs that have been open for a while is interesting. I’d also try closing one of the affected tabs directly from the Sync section on the phone and then checking the desktop again.
Does the problem happen with newly opened tabs too, or mainly with tabs that have been sitting open for a while?
They are usually tabs that I've only had open for under a day. I'll open one in the morning, randomly go to it throughout the day and then maybe change the person that I'm watching because it's twitch. Then when I go to bed at night I'll be in my bed and I'll use the sync from my phone and it'll show all the same tabs that I had open on my PC and I'll hit the x and sometimes it just won't work and other times it'll take 5 minutes before it actually closes the tab on my PC. So I'd say it happens more with newer tabs. Older tabs either have just closed(or they close by the time I wake up) or I just usually don't close them using the sync feature.
How do I check that the sync is working properly(Which I'm mildly confused because it seems like it most definitely is not working correctly, but if you just mean synced at all then it seems like it should be) because every single time that I check all the tabs are accurate, and if they aren't when I first look I just have to hit the sync button and then it's all the correct tabs. So it seems like it should be working. It just won't close tabs and it won't send tabs from either device. In fact I think it's been over a year since it actually has ever sent a tab from one device to the other.
I was able to send tabs from well atab from my phone to my PC but that wasn't until I deliberately hit sync on both devices even though they just said that they just synced. When I tried to send a tab from my PC to my phone it still did not send.
