Setting up a new (t-online.de) account: what are the port and authentication settings?
I am trying to set up my t-online.de account on Thunderbird, so far without success. A message appears: Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account. I don't know where I am going wrong.

Thunderbird maintains a database of known email settings, but that is a courtesy. If thunderbird doesn't have it, you could contact your email provider or do a simple web search for 't-online.de email setting' - I just did that and there are a number of websites with that info. :)
