Ebay site does not function after recent update

None of the functions on the ebay site work.

What does that mean? Examples and steps to replicate would be helpful. Just logged into my account and clicked around with no issues. see screenshot Windows home or pro and what security software are you running besides MS Defender?

Only have MS Defender on Windows 11 Pro

I have just started to have this problem in the last 2 months. The problem is when in eBay and looking at an item to purchase in a new tab everything works OK for a few selections than it wont update no matter what I do. Like when looking for a Micro SD Card this morning there are lots of sizes on offer in the one listing so selecting one changes the price ect BUT after selecting a different size and it locks up no matter what I select nothing happens nothing changes.

First I tried Microsoft Edge and not one problem SO after reading SuMo Bot's reply I cleared the browser cache and cookies nothing helped I then tried Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and all OK and I gave it a good go changing selections in quick secession and it handled it all.

Then I closed Troubleshoot Mode and opened eBay in a new browser window and after a few selections, like section a bigger size Micro SD Card from the multitude on offer on the one sellers listing it locks up again no matter what I select nothing happens nothing changes. I don't want to have to use Microsoft Edge every time I want to look at eBay and I don't know what to do. Also if I knew how to load a video I would give it a try to show the problem.

While I am here I have noticed when I select a say a news story on one of the 4 newspapers I read I right click and Open Link in New Tab as I have done for over 20 years BUT just lately when I click on the tab to go read the article it only then loads the page whereas before it was loaded as soon as I clicked on the Tab. ???? Thanks in advance. If any more info required please just ask. Attached a screen shot of my system if its any use.

You can check in console what kind of error is triggered on the site when it loses functionality and where it originated from — but most likely that will be some kind of "privacy" addon interfering with the site's script execution.

Thanks but what is console? But why all of a sudden has this started I mean I haven't added any apps all I do is update Windows and Firefox when prompted. I started using Internet Explorer that's how long ago but switched to Firefox way way back and so as mentioned only update it when prompted so don't understand why eBay does not work as it use to and how it works just fine on Microsoft Edge.

Because all your addons either get out of sync with the major sites over time, or conversely update all the time as well (various adblockers even daily/hourly if need be) in background, and you've most likely allowed them to run on the content of your sites.
