FF freezes shortly after starting—even in safe mode, even after clearing cache

FF has been freezing EVERY single time I attempt to use it, even since I started using it in safe mode, and after I cleared the cache.

It freezes a few minutes after opening, and freezes my Mac as well. Takes at least 5 minutes before it unfreezes. I am not getting crash reports. I think this started right after the latest update.

Is it freezing as soon as it starts, or after a time?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?
