''Assuming that is all good:'' Firefox might be doing an automatic crash recovery. This occurs if Firefox did not shut down properly after the last session (certain files are out of place, which Firefox interprets as indicating that it must have crashed). I'm not sure how you normally shut down Firefox, but if do it as you are shutting down Windows, please allow a little more time for Firefox to clean up files. If you are already using "Exit" on the menu and allowing time, there may be a problem preventing Firefox from completing its shutdown tasks. There's also an occasional issue with a "user.js" file.
