I want to send some email in big5 (a traditional chinese encoding used in taiwan). but big5 does not show up in `preference > display > font > advance > encoding > outgoing mail`

why can you not use unicode? it includes Egyptian hieroglyphs. As well as simplified and traditional Chinese and Japanese. See https://people.w3.org/rishida/scripts/chinese/

I can not. because some old machine run bbs accept only big5 encoding .
