How do I stop Adobe Flash Player from starting automatically?

The "Add-On" no longer has the option for "Ask to Activate" for this program. The selection is grayed out and the only option now available is "Always Activate" and "Never Activate".

I just recently updated the add-on.

I believe there is a new feature coming in a future Firefox Release, but don't recall when or the version number.

I have been using this add-on for a number of years now, which also works for HTML5 video/audio. It provides a "button" to click-to-play. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flash-control/
