Can't initiate Firefox. Crashes immediately without opening program. Have uninstalled previous version of Firefox, installed latest and updated Windows 10. Firefox will not open in Safe Mode either.

Soluție aleasă

This solved the problem. Thank you so much! I noticed that there were a number of pref-#.js files, probably from each time that Firefox had started to initialize and then crashed, (ie, pref-1.js, pref-2.js, etc.) I only deleted the main pref.js file and Firefox created a new one and was able to open without crashing. Thanks again.

hi Eliz210, can you try to navigate to your firefox profile folder and rename the file prefs.js that should be located there to something like oldprefs.js. please see if firefox is starting again afterwards...
