View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar is selected. When I launch Firefox the Bookmarks Toolbar is there, but it's blank. I have to go to View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar and turn it off and on, then they show up. Firefox 34.0.5 on Windows 8.1

You can check for problems with the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder and try to rename or delete this file.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
