actually i am learning web designing,i tried to create a web page nd tried viewing it in firefox browser,but it opened the default browser .what is the issue?

i wrote this simple code in my notepad editor 

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>MYFIRSTWEBPAGE</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
AISHA
</BODY>
</HTML>

And save the file by changing the save as type to "all files" and file name as "myfirstwebpage.html",i tried opening this page using firefox as a web browser,but every time i opened it ,it opens the home page of firefox can anyone help me with this issue??

Try using Alt > File -> Open File or {Ctrl + O} .

Open your file browser. Locate the file in question and right click it. Now select Properties. Look around. Is the file recognized as an internet type file? What does the Open With show?
