Cookies need to be enabled for my online course to work properly. However, I don't want to allow all cookies from other sites I don't trust. How can I control which sites that I allow cookies for?

Chosen solution

The "From Visited" option from the "Allow third party Cookies" setting will only allow third part websites place cookies on your computer if you have visited their site before.

For instace, Facebook. Some websites may use facebook integration that requires cookies, if the "From Visited" option is selected, facebook may only place those cookies if you have previously visited the Facebook.com website. Otherwise they are denied. Note that this only has an effect on third part websites.

Hello Leonaruth, Welcome to Mozilla Support!

Here is an article explaining some cookie settings, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences#w_how-do-i-change-cookie-settings

Here are some details specific to your question:

  1. 1 go to Firefox->settings from the menu bar.
  2. 2 Go to the Privacy tab, and change History to "Use custom settings for History".
  3. 3 Deselect "Accept cookies from sites" to deny cookies.
  4. 4 Click "Exceptions" (to the right of the checkbox) and specify the website you wish to have cookies from.
  5. 5 Click Allow and the site will be added to the list of sites that you accept cookies from.

I hope this helps.
