can you tell us that which slideshow are not working?

The slide show on the homepage at www.babygooroo.com. It works on my PC but not on my Mac.

I can reproduce this problem sometime with my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0, I filled a bug at bugzilla

you can create a bugzilla account and add yourself in cc list to get update about that!

so as per bug 860380

The console shows: "This web browser is not supported by SlideDeck. Please view this page in a modern, CSS3 capable browser or a current version of Inernet Explorer"

This message comes from slidedeck.jquery.lite.js:652:

And in this block passes cause self.browser.firefox2 is true.

browser.firefox2 is set in slidedeck.jquery.lite.js:85: firefox2: UA.match(/firefox\/2/) ? true : false,

So this is caused by a broken ua sniffer finding firefox/2 in firefox/20.

Temporary workaround is to go to about:config, create a new string value named general.useragent.override.babygooroo.com

and enter a useragent with firefox/20 replaced with firefox/19.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

• Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
• Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
• Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

• Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

• Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I have this problem too. Slideshow galleries will not advance to any additional photo past the first one, unless I reload the page, and then it only advances one frame before seizing up again. This happens on a variety of major websites, such as Waql Street Journal, CIO.com, and CNN. I am not buying the "explanation" that is just a matter of refreshing the cache (done that) or that all of these major websites are incapable of making a website gallery that works -- like they forgot to update to ver. XYZ of SlideDeck or whatever. No, the problem is in the Firefox browser and nobody at Firefox seems to want to admit it and address these problems head on.

Thanks, but that is NOT a solution to this generic problem with Firefox being unable to read a slideshow on a variety of different websites. I don't know what SlideDeck has to do with it. Photo galleries are implemented a variety of ways, but they should all work with a modern browser. 

The main problem with Firefox is, the Mozilla people don't invest adequate attention and staff time to solving problems. They think these automated user-self-help forums will solve all problems with Firefox. They won't. But they can't be bothered. They would rather add more layers of add-on bells and whistles nobody really asked for. What we universally want is a browser that does the basics reliably -- and Firefox is failing to do that more and more with every update.
