Dear Sirs,

it *seems* to me that the _text formatting rules_ are not well translated from thunderbird.

Chosen solution

If you mean you are seeing the added */_ in the text.

TB shows in plain text messges always all text and this is correct because /*_ are also normal text elements. If you want to hide them you can add the text shown below to 'userContent.css'.

Exit Thunderbird

Access 'profile name' folder and create a 'chrome' folder if it does not exist.

Open a text editor, copy text into file and save as 'userContent.css' in the 'chrome' folder. Make sure you create folder and file using those exact spellings.

.moz-txt-tag {
  display: none;
}

I'm using Windows 10 and performed test.

I used info as described here:

Image below shows results on left and original composed text on right, which happens to be the same when you 'view source'.

Hi Toad-Hall,

    I'm really happy that you're replying to me (like the last time for the old Outlook .dbx and .sdb e-mails).

I was thinking that the text formatting rules were in the link that I posted with the question. Instead it seems that are these that you have written. Someone could improve them? More, when I post a message in a newsgroup (like it.diritto) the formatted text with */_ will appear to each other in the newsgroup? Thank You Very Much. Cheers
